Thinking Wealthy
Money is a concept. You can’t really see or touch it (unless you are holding a gold bar in your hand). You can only do that with some physical symbol of it like bank notes or a cheque. Pieces of paper, yes, but pieces of paper with enormous power.
The concept of money comes with a lot of baggage to most of us. We have a deep believe that money is good or bad and wanting it is good or bad. Loving it is good or bad and then spending it is good or bad. Most of us inherit these believes from our parents just as we inherit the good or bad genes. Our upbringing has much to do with our money beliefs
If you want to become wealthy you have to start thinking wealthy because that’s the foundation on which all things wealth related restWe all have money beliefs.
Most of us believe that even if money doesn’t make us happy (but secretly of course we believe it will) it will at least allow us to miserable in some comfort. We almost all believe that money lets us buy better stuff and by buying better stuff we will be happier. I personally don’t want to discourage you in any of those beliefs; I just would like to give you means of finding out for yourself whether or not this is true.
How we think about wealth might be holding us back from having wealth?
If , in our heart, we believe (even subconsciously) that money is a bad thing and having lots of it is really a bad thing, then chances are we might be under-mining our own efforts.
My next question to you is: how much effort are you prepared to put into making money? Becoming wealthy it’s like a sport – the more your practice the better you become. Likewise you can’t make money while being lazy. Most rich/wealthy people work hard to reach their desired level of wealth.
You’ve also got to know pretty intimately what you want and why you want it, how you think you are going to get it, what are you going to do with it after you accumulate your wealth.
